Furnishing is «the art and technique of conforming internal environments with various elements (dividers, furniture, furnishings, etc.) in order to make them more functional and comfortable». This technique therefore maintains a close and essential relationship with the activity of designing spaces, which, in turn, cannot do without the design of the furnishings. As a design technique, it is also defined as interior architecture.
